Session 1 2022 Newsletter
Dear Families,
We hope your children have had lots of fun at camp this session! They are already improving their swimming skills in their daily swim lessons and free-swim time. They have played some fun games like “Star Wars: Jedi Training” and “Hula Hoop Rock-Paper-Scissors Showdown.” They have also been getting crafty making various bracelets, juice pouch wallets, K-cup flowers, and learning how to do “gimp.” On Tuesday they got to do an acrylic pour and their canvases came out beautifully! This week we had two special guests come to camp: Chester County Park Ranger Jay Erb and dental hygienist Jaclyn Gleber. Mr. Erb brought in some taxidermied animals to show the children what kind of wildlife we have living right here in our own backyards. Ms. Gleber taught the children about good dental hygiene and nutrition and gave each child a free goodie bag. We are looking forward to going fishing and having a visit from Audrey Reith from the 4-H club this Thursday at Hibernia Park.
Just a few reminders:
-
Please send your child to camp in their swimsuit so they are ready for their AM swim lesson.
-
Help your child apply sunscreen before they arrive at camp.
-
Label your child’s belongings, especially their water bottle and towel.
-
Check out our website www.heartsinhands.net to see camp pictures.
-
There is NO camp next week July 4th-7th - have a great holiday! (Session 2 begins on July 11th)
Sincerely,
Hearts In Hands Staff
